Americas we've known and loved

When I was in school (K-12) they taught my fellow lumps of clay and I about this magical kingdom called America. You see in America everyone enjoys absolute equality. Even the very poorest persons have the same opportunity to rise to the loftiest heights of wealth and power as the most privileged among us. If a person fails to "make it" well it's they're own damn fault for being so damned lazy. Oh and America is also the land of the free and the home of the Brave. Last but not least, in America the government always reflects the opinions of a overwhelming majority of it's citizens.

unfortunately my bubble has since burst. In America poor children are mostly relegated to overcrowded classrooms, have absent parents and are surrounded by people who have jealousy driven disdain for any "uppity nigger" who actually wants to leave the ghetto. America incarcerates a larger percentage of its population than all but a handful of countries, neither China or the former Soviet Union has ever reached our numbers here. The government of America does far better at representing business than it does the American people.
